034Motorsport 2-Piece Floating Front Brake Rotor Upgrade Kit for Audi B8.5 SQ5

This kit replaces the front discs on the B8 and B8.5 Audi Q5 and SQ5, as well as the D4 A8 and S8, with 380x36mm two-piece floating rotors that work with the factory front calipers. Each rotor pairs a 6061-T6 aluminium hat with a CM-250 special alloy ring, joined by high-strength alloy steel bobbins that let the ring expand both radially and laterally with heat, where the factory disc only allows radial expansion. Unlike the factory setup, which uses the same disc on both sides, the 72 curved cooling vanes are oriented correctly for each side, and J-slots keep the pad face clean and release pad gases with less noise than conventional slots. At about 28.65 lbs per rotor the kit matches the factory weight, and 034Motorsport points out that the rings can later be replaced on their own to lower running costs.
