POWER GAINS

On turbo engines more flow equals more power! Putting performance first, the ram air design, velocity stack, 3.5" silicone/piping, and massive 5-inch filter all function to deliver the most power possible from an intake system. This Intake design delivers a massive flow increase over the stock air box, resulting in over 10 horsepower and torque over stock and far exceeds this on hybrid or large turbo setups.

MODULAR DESIGN

At the base of our intake is an alloy heat shield that spans the entire front of the car for maximum fresh air flow, seals off hot engine bay air, and securely holds the velocity stack and air filter. The modular design allows for an optional carbon fiber lid (sold separately) to be installed further sealing off the intake from radiant engine heat and provides a high-end gloss carbon finish to your engine bay.

PERFECT FITMENT & APPEARANCE

IE engineers utilize cutting edge 3D scanners and specialized software to create a digital model of the engine bay. This digital environment ensures the intake clears and fits exactly like a factory-installed unit. Rapid printed prototypes are then used to ensure fitment in actual vehicles before moving onto production. The result is an intake that provides a hassle-free install with angles and curves that not only look at home in your engine bay, but elevates the style completely.

FULLY INCLUSIVE KIT

Everything needed to install your new IE intake is included without having to make any trips to the hardware store or purchase additional add-on kits. Included is our stealth coolant line, which completely hides under the intake and out of view. This protects the coolant line from interfering or rubbing on anything that may lead to future coolant leaks. For vehicles equipped with secondary air injection (SAI) the IE intake is equipped to connect to the factory line without having to purchase an additional kit. Don't have SAI? No worries, a plug is also included.

MOTORSPORT PERFORMANCE & SOUND

Delivering cooler air and in enough volume is a must for making power. To accomplish a ram-air design, our engineers utilize large piping and a velocity stack to efficiently deliver as much air as possible. We know a fast car is fun to drive, but a good sounding one really puts a smile on your face. The high-velocity bellmouth and free flow design of our intake also produces the exciting side effect of amplifying engine notes and turbo sounds that create a unique experience every time you push the the throttle down.

Integrated Engineering Turbo Inlet Pipe

IS YOUR STOCK INLET ROBBING POWER?

The factory installed plastic turbo inlet found installed on your VW or Audi Gen 3 1.8T or 2.0T TSI engine is adequate enough for stock cars with factory hardware and ECU calibrations. However, the necked down design becomes a major flow restriction when ran with power upgrades such as cold air intakes, intercoolers, downpipes, and ECU upgrades.

UPGRADE YOUR TURBO INLET PIPE

The IE Turbo Inlet Pipe helps you to get the most out of your IS38 or IS20 turbo and power upgrades by removing the factory flow restriction. The cast aluminum design allows for a constant diameter elbow increasing efficiency from the intake to the turbo without the bottleneck design of the factory unit.

EASY INSTALLATION

Your new turbo inlet pipe has been in-house CNC machined and includes all required hardware to allow for a perfect and easy installation. View and download the install guide here.

REQUIRES AFTERMARKET INTAKE

Due to the larger size of your new inlet pipe, this must be installed with an aftermarket cold air intake. This is a direct install along with an IE V2 MK7/8V MQB Intake Kit (PN IEINCI11). A "universal" silicone adapter is supplied that will allow it to be adapted to most 3 inch cold air intakes (direct fit is not guaranteed with non-IE brand intake kits).

Integrated Engineering Turbo Muffler Delete

STOP MUFFLING YOUR TURBO!

As a noise-reducing measure, your factory turbocharger was equipped with a muffler on the compressor side outlet. With this installed, turbo noise is kept to a minimum and the often desired spool sound is missing. This also leads to air turbulence, which eliminates throttle response potential. By replacing this part with the IE turbo outlet muffler delete, turbo noise is restored and response is left at an all-time high.

We use a proprietary two-piece design, which is manufactured in house to strict tolerances, anodized in our bright black anodize finish, then assembled before shipping. To provide a perfect seal, a custom gasket is included.

This part is a direct replacement for the OEM part number 06H 131 111.

IE FDS intercoolers are powered by the massive (425mmX621mmX70mm) all-new bar & fin core. This gives you 137% more core volume over the stock intercooler and brings you incredibly efficient cooling properties to combat heat soak, lower intake air temperatures, and keep you in the highest power output possible from your ECU tune and performance hardware upgrades. This is the single largest intercooler on the market today.

THE ONE AND ONLY FDS

When it comes to cooling air flow, it's all about efficiency. IE's Flow Distribution System (FDS) is light years ahead of other intercoolers, delivering an effective use of the entire core by utilizing precisely shaped fins to force air flow evenly across the entire surface. As a result, the IE FDS intercooler has been proven to drastically reduce intake air temperatures more so than any other units available on the market -offering the largest power gains possible.

 

ELIMINATE HEAT SOAK

Heat soak occurs when the heat generated exceeds the cooling capacity of the intercooler. The most common symptom is the noticeable loss of power after long term acceleration or several back-to-back power pulls. By greatly increasing the core size and useable area of the core with FDS technology, we have eliminated the heat soak, keeping the intake air temperatures consistently lower than OEM and competition intercoolers.  


INCREDIBLY STRONG

Dedicated to life-long reliable operation, the end tanks are manufactured from from high quality aluminum castings with ultra-thick and reinforced mounting. When it comes to fitting this massive IC into place, there is no room for error. All mounting bosses and surfaces are in-house precision CNC machined and hand verified for an exact fit.


NO BOOST LEAKS

Nothing is worse than a boost leak! Advanced CNC machining of the inlet and outlet produces a high-grip surface that locks the silicone into place. A flat stop edge prevents the hose from being installed too far forward while a beveled edge adds enhanced grip for the hose clamp to stop it from sliding back. This high attention to detail creates a friction grip keeping your boost hoses in place for good.


PRECISION BUILT

Manufacturing the largest intercooler on the market is not easy and leaves no room for mistakes. After the end tanks are meticulously in-house CNC machined, the core and tanks are combined with incredible precision TIG welding. Every single intercooler goes through a multi-point critical inspection and is tested on our leak-down station before shipping. This work ensures a reliable product that it is ready to install.


PERFECT FIT

Despite it's size and features, the IE FDS intercooler is a perfect OEM replacement and requires no modifications to install. Mounting points for the factory radiator and intercooler mounts are machined in. Stainless steel mount brackets are included for an improved and stronger condenser mount. Everything around the performance unit remains untouched and installs as if it were a factory piece.

 

Vehicle Fitment:

*2022+ MK8 & 8Y vehicles may require very minor trimming of the plasic radiator shroud during install.

*Due to the massive size and tight tolerances of this intercooler, some aftermarket radiators may not fit.
