This stock-location heat exchanger upgrade is built for the supercharged 3.0 TFSI in the B8 and B8.5 Audi S4 and the B8.5 S5. Its oversized core increases frontal area by 130% over the factory cooler, from 148 to 341 square inches, yet still fits behind the factory crash bar, and 034Motorsport says testing shows a significant drop in intake air temperatures. The CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminium end tanks can be set up for single-pass coolant flow on the B8 S4 or dual-pass on the B8.5, and both tanks carry bleeder plugs so trapped air can be purged without special tools. The 54-piece kit adds custom moulded multilayer silicone hoses and air duct sealing panels that stop air spilling around the radiator core, and 034Motorsport recommends it for Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes and considers it a requirement beyond that.
