This carbon fibre cold air intake suits the 2.5 TFSI engine in the 8J Audi TT RS and 8P Audi RS3. A CFD-optimised carbon fibre tube replaces the plastic factory accordion hose, sized as large as the space around the high-pressure fuel pump and firewall allows, while a carbon fibre heat shield takes the place of the upper airbox so the high-flow conical filter draws cold air from the factory inlet duct ahead of the radiator. Both carbon parts have a fibreglass backing layer to insulate the intake air from engine bay heat, and the weave is chosen to match the factory carbon engine trim. On 034Motorsport's Mustang AWD dyno, a Stage 2 car went from 377 to 390 wheel horsepower and a Stage 3 car from 460 to 491.
