This replacement spring suits the external wastegates fitted to Audi turbocharged cars from 1980 to 1995.5. Installed in the wastegate, it sets boost at 1.9 bar absolute, or 13.5 psi, which raises base boost pressure and helps eliminate wastegate creep. 034Motorsport says it gives a noticeable improvement in boost response over the stock spring. The brand also notes that it works with most chip sets on the market that have overboost cut-offs below 2.0 bar.
