This kit replaces the factory supercharger clutch on Audi 3.0 TFSI engines with the CREC engine code, as fitted to the C7.5 A6 and A7, D4 A8 and 4M Q7. 034Motorsport explains that the factory clutch can wear and slip with age or extra power, causing lost power, error codes and clunky engagement, so the kit swaps it for a single-piece puck machined from billet 4140 steel that links the supercharger solidly to its pulley. The zinc-plated steel puck weighs 3.0lbs against 4.0lbs for the factory clutches and sharpens throttle response, and the brand reports no noticeable effect on fuel economy. It installs with no modifications using the included Delrin centring tool and is fully reversible, but it will trigger a check engine light unless the car runs 034Motorsport Dynamic+ CREC tuning.
