This pair of Motorsport engine and transmission mounts replaces the factory mounts on 3.2L VR6 models, namely the 8P Audi A3, 8J Audi TT and Mk5 Volkswagen R32, with either the 6-speed manual or DSG. Each mount has a billet 6061-T6 aluminium body with replaceable, void-free 65 durometer rubber bushings, so there is no fluid to leak and the mounts can be rebuilt. 034Motorsport designed them to drastically limit engine movement for less drivetrain slop, crisper shifts and more direct power transfer, and says rubber gives better ride characteristics than polyurethane alternatives. Some extra noise, vibration and harshness in the cabin should be expected, and the brand recommends installation by an experienced mechanic.
