034Motorsport Black Coil Cover, Audi/Volkswagen 1.8T, Stainless Steel - 034-107-Z018-P
This coil cover is a stamped and bent 304 stainless steel replacement for the plastic cover on Audi and Volkswagen 1.8T engines, supplied here in a black powdercoated finish. 034Motorsport says it shields the coils from extreme radiant heat, particularly on big turbo builds, and tidies the top of the engine. It is precision manufactured rather than hand made, with slotted mounting holes for an adjustable fit, and mounting hardware is included. One of the factory cover mounting bosses must be trimmed by about 3/8" for the cover to bolt down, which still allows the stock cover to be refitted later with a spacer.
