This kit replaces the rear brake rotors on MQB and MQB EVO Volkswagen and Audi models that use 310mm rear discs, with a pair of 310mm x 22mm two-piece floating rotors that work with the factory rear calipers. 034Motorsport quotes about 11.30lb per rotor against 15.0lb for the factory part, saving 3.70lb at each rear corner while keeping enough thermal mass to absorb heat. Unlike the factory straight-vane rotor used on both sides, these rotors are left and right specific, with 72 directionally curved vanes for better cooling, a J-slot face that cleans the pads with less noise than conventional slots, and CM-250 alloy rings floating on 6061-T6 aluminium hats via high-strength alloy steel bobbins.
