034Motorsport X-Clear Driveshaft Tunnel Brace, AWD Volkswagen & Audi MQB And MQB EVO
The X-Clear tunnel brace replaces the shallow factory driveshaft tunnel brace on all-wheel-drive MQB and MQB EVO cars such as the Mk7 and Mk8 Volkswagen Golf R and the 8V and 8Y Audi S3. It is CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium and adds 8mm of exhaust clearance over the factory stamped steel brace, making room for an aftermarket exhaust up to 1/2" larger in diameter without rattles or vibration. 034Motorsport says the brace is also stiffer than the OE part and adds no extra NVH. It is finished in bright black anodising with a laser-etched logo, and the brand puts installation at about 30 minutes.
