This universal vortex-style catch can is 8" tall and 3" in diameter, with a capacity of 0.25 gallons (about 1 litre). Incoming gases are forced to spin against the cylinder wall, and 034Motorsport explains that centrifugal force flings oil and water particles outward so they drain down the walls to be collected or returned to the sump. The outlet extends 4" down inside the can to act as a baffle that stops incoming fluid being expelled straight out. 034Motorsport recommends it for high performance applications to remove oil vapour from the intake tract, and it is finished in black powdercoat.
