This carbon fibre closed-top upper airbox is a component for 034Motorsport's X34 Carbon Fibre Cold Air Intake System on the 8J Audi TT RS and 8P Audi RS3 with the 2.5 TFSI engine, not a complete intake. 034Motorsport designed the closed top for markets that do not allow exposed air filters, and a blister in the lid clears the filter without adding bulk to the engine bay. It is made from carbon fibre with a high-gloss epoxy finish, fits both left- and right-hand drive cars, and the brand says the closed-top intake is quieter than similar open-top designs while still giving stronger induction sound, sharper throttle response and dyno-proven gains. It will not work with early 8J/8P X34 intakes that have the intake tube attached to the upper box.
