The X34 is an open-top carbon fibre cold air intake for the EA888 Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines in the 8V Audi A3 and S3, Mk3 Audi TT and TTS, and Mk7 Volkswagen Golf, GTI and R. It replaces the restrictive factory filter, upper airbox and turbo inlet tube with a one-piece, large-diameter carbon fibre tube that keeps the factory lower airbox and fresh air duct, which 034Motorsport says drastically reduces turbulence and pressure drop ahead of the turbo. A 4" inlet double-layer pleated cotton filter sits under an open top that lets more induction sound through, and the carbon weave is chosen to match the factory carbon trim in Audi RS engine bays. 034Motorsport quotes dyno-proven power and torque gains and sharper throttle response, and the kit suits cars with or without secondary air injection using the included billet SAI adapter and cap.
