This 3 inch cat-back exhaust from APR is the resonated version for the Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk7, and APR notes it is not compatible with the facelift Mk7.5. It is built from T304 stainless steel with argon-back-purged TIG welding, using 3 inch OD piping that splits to dual 2.5 inch through a cast rear splitter, larger than the factory 2.56 inch piping. Straight-through brushed mufflers and removable polished 4 inch slash-cut tips complete the system, with the tips larger than the factory 3.15 inch units. APR says the system gives a deep exhaust note without rasp or drone and weighs 5 lbs less than stock, or 1 lb less with the optional front muffler.
