APR R1 Diverter Valve Audi A4/A6/S4/RS6/TT/Porsche Boxster/Cayman/Macan/Panamera/VW Golf/Jetta/Passat
The APR R1 Diverter Valve is an upgrade for the factory 710N diverter valve, which APR describes as failure prone, and the brand recommends it at all stages of performance. It is made from CNC-machined billet aluminium with a high-temperature Nomex-reinforced diaphragm, and APR says the friction-free diaphragm design gives very fast response under extreme boost pressures. APR contrasts it with piston-based units that can stick and bind in winter, saying the R1 is virtually maintenance free with no greasing or o-ring replacement. It is listed for a range of Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen models, but it is not a direct replacement on vehicles with electronic diverter valves.
