The APR Short Shifter System is an upgrade to the factory 6-speed manual shifter assembly on the Audi A3 8P, TT and TTS and the Volkswagen Golf, GTI, Golf R and Passat. APR says it reduces shifter movement in all directions while improving shift quality. Fore-aft and side-to-side movement can both be fine tuned to shorten shifts, a counterweight adjustment improves shift quality, and weak points of the factory setup are upgraded. APR describes the upgrade as simple to install and adjust.
