APR Suspension Control Unit (SCU) Upgrade VW Golf Inc GTi, R Mk7/Mk7.5 (DCC)
The APR Suspension Control Unit (SCU) Upgrade directly replaces the factory suspension controller on Volkswagen Golf, GTI and Golf R Mk7 and Mk7.5 models fitted with DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) electronic shocks. APR says the factory controller only switches between soft and stiff, while its unit adjusts the shocks in real time using steering angle, speed, damper shaft velocity, brake pressure, G-forces and acceleration. The unit keeps the factory comfort and sport levels and is 3D-mapped to what the factory shocks can do, and APR says it improves everyday ride comfort as well as launch, cornering and body roll control. Installation is plug and play and completely reversible, and the unit remains compatible with aftermarket springs and stabiliser bars.
