The APR Turbo Muffler Eliminator replaces the factory turbo muffler, which sits at the compressor outlet of the factory IHI turbocharger and is designed to reduce engine bay noise, with a straight uninterrupted tube. It is CNC machined from billet aluminium and anodised black. Because the factory muffler housing height varies from turbo to turbo, with a nominal height of roughly 51 mm and a tolerance of +/- 0.5mm or more, APR uses a two-piece adjustable height design with a Viton seal so it can seal accurately. APR says removing the muffler gives enhanced turbo sound, faster spool and better power delivery, and the kit includes Loctite to secure the centre tube.
