The APR Turbo Outlet System with muffler delete pairs a billet aluminium turbo muffler pipe with a silicone turbo outlet hose for the Audi A3 8Y (including quattro) and Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8, listed for EA888.4 engines. It does away with the factory turbo muffler, which APR says softens turbo sound and adds a restriction that causes turbulence, and APR says the muffler pipe outlet and the hose each have a 66% larger cross sectional area than stock. The pipe keeps the PCV vent path needed for proper engine operation and needs no extra gaskets, while the multi-ply silicone hose has a smooth fluorosilicone lining to resist oil degradation and uses Clampco T-bolt clamps instead of worm-gear clamps.
