The CSF Race-Spec Dual-Pass Oil Cooler is a drop-in replacement for the factory oil cooler on the BMW E46 M3 and E39 M5, developed and track proven with BMW M3 specialist Rogue Engineering. It is more than twice the size of the factory unit, with a volume of about 3.98 litres against 1.69 litres, which keeps oil temperatures consistent when the car is driven at the limit on hot days. The turbulated bar and plate core runs in a top and bottom dual-pass layout with eight rows of high-density multi-louvred fins, and the extruded end tanks are fully TIG-welded instead of mechanically jointed and tack-welded like the factory part. It bolts to the factory radiator brackets or CSF's 7058 (E46 M3) and 7064 (E39 M5) radiators, uses the factory oil lines and follows the bumper contour so aftermarket splitters still fit.
