DIXCEL Brake Pads - Alcon CAR49 / TA4+ / CRB343 / CRB332 / CAR23 - 20mm
Japanese brake specialist DIXCEL makes pads for everything from daily driving to endurance racing, and this pad set suits the Alcon CAR49, TA4+, CRB343, CRB332 and CAR23 calipers (full application list below). It comes in three DIXCEL compounds: RA Type, a high-friction racing pad that holds its bite at high temperatures; RE Type, an ABS-friendly racing pad with a milder initial bite; and Specom-β, an endurance racing pad built for long, stable stints. DIXCEL racing pads work from around 200°C and need bedding in before competition use, and they can wear faster and make more noise and dust if used on the street. Alcon pad shapes vary by application, so check your caliper part number and pad backing plate before ordering.

- RE Type: ABS-friendly carbon semi-metallic racing pad with a milder initial bite and flat friction curve, for radial, semi-slick and slick tyres
- Specom-β (also listed as Specom B): endurance racing pad for long pad life and stable braking over long stints, used in GT, touring and clubman racing
- RA Type and RE Type: bed in on track before racing (about 5 minutes at 50% braking, cool, then 10 minutes at 70-80%, cool, then build to full effort)
