This DIXCEL brake pad wear sensor is a direct replacement for the front sensor on the BMW 1 Series, 2 Series, 3 Series, 4 Series, i4 and other models. It warns the driver when the pads reach their minimum thickness, so new pads can go on before the old ones wear through. The sensor is a single-use part and should be replaced every time the pads are changed. Route the new sensor's lead the same way as the original so it stays clear of the wheel and disc.
