Japanese brake specialist DIXCEL makes discs for everything from daily driving to endurance racing, and this rear pair suits the Honda Civic Type R, Civic and Prelude (full application list below). It comes in four DIXCEL disc types: PD Type (a plain disc made to the OE specification), SD Type (a six-slit disc for extra bite), HD Type (a plain high-carbon disc with DIXCEL's heat treatment) and HS Type (the slotted version of the HD), all measuring 260 x 9mm. Every DIXCEL disc is balance-checked and corrected by machining, as car makers do, and carries an anti-corrosion coating chosen for the application.

  • SD Type: six-slit disc that DIXCEL says gives up to 20% more braking performance than a plain disc in simulated testing, with the slits offset between faces to suppress judder
