This DIXCEL brake pad wear sensor is a direct replacement for the rear sensor on the BMW 118i / 118d / M135i, 2 Series Gran Coupe 218i / 218d / M235i, 2 Series Active Tourer, 2 Series Gran Tourer, X1 and X2. It warns the driver when the pads reach their minimum thickness, so new pads can go on before the old ones wear through. The sensor is a single-use part and should be replaced every time the pads are changed. Route the new sensor's lead the same way as the original so it stays clear of the wheel and disc.
