This Integrated Engineering catch can kit intercepts oil vapour from the crankcase ventilation system before it reaches the intake tract. On direct-injection engines there's no fuel washing over the intake valves, so that vapour bakes onto them as carbon; catching it first keeps the intake side clean and preserves power over the long term.
