This Stage 2 camshaft set from Kelford Cams is a racing profile for professionally built BMW S58 engines. It has a 292/280 degree profile with 10.40mm/10.60mm valve lift, and Kelford says it is intended for builds of 800hp to 1400hp that use 66-75mm turbos and aftermarket intake plenums. Kelford states the cams allow full use of Valvetronic and Dual VANOS, or locking Valvetronic when an aftermarket throttle body is fitted, and asks that valve-to-piston clearances be checked across the full travel of VANOS and Valvetronic. Kelford recommends upgrading the valve springs with its KVS58-BT and checking the clearance between the new lobes and the intake intermediate rockers, trimming or deburring the OEM pressed steel rockers if needed.
