This Milltek Sport Active Valve Control is a plug-and-play exhaust valve controller for the Volkswagen Golf R (Mk7, Mk7.5, Mk8 and Mk8.5) and the Arteon. It is remote controlled from key fobs, giving the driver a say in when the exhaust valves are open or closed. Three modes are available: always open, always closed, and a return to factory valve operation that follows the RPM range and drive modes. A memory function starts the car in the last mode used, and Milltek cautions against fully closing the valves when driving hard.
