Paragon PPS819 Titanium Brake Pad Shims Suit Alcon CAR89 / AP Racing Callipers CP9660

These Paragon PPS819 pad shims are made from Grade 5 titanium (6AL-4V / ASTM B348) and are supplied as a set of four, enough for one axle. They sit between the brake pads and the calipers as a thermal barrier, because titanium has a much lower thermal conductivity than the usual pad and caliper materials. Paragon says this reduces heat transfer from the pads to the calipers and brake fluid, which helps lower operating temperatures and cut the risk of fluid overheating and brake fade on track. The shims suit Alcon TA6, CAR11 and CAR89 calipers, selected AP Racing calipers including the CP9660 and CP5060 series, and Paragon PA015 and PA035 calipers.
