Yokohama's Advan A052 is a summer tyre from the extreme performance category, succeeding the Advan A048 R-Spec and built on the same production line as its competition tyres. Its asymmetric tread pairs a wide, low-void outer rib for cornering stability with a notched outboard micro-groove for heat dissipation, while two wide circumferential grooves clear water from the contact patch. Yokohama's motorsport-derived MS compound, which includes BluEarth technology for better rolling efficiency, sits over a casing built from two nylon-cord plies and two wide steel belts, topped by two spirally-wound nylon reinforcement plies. Yokohama intends it for spirited road driving and track days in warm, dry-to-wet conditions and advises against near-freezing temperatures, snow or ice.
