This kit replaces the factory Haldex coupling drain and fill plugs on all-wheel-drive PQ35 and MQB platform cars with the Gen 4 or Gen 5 Haldex, including quattro versions of the 8J, 8P, 8V, 8S and 8Y Audi range and 4Motion versions of the Mk5 to Mk8 Volkswagen Golf. Both plugs are CNC-machined from billet 304 stainless steel, and the drain plug carries a permanently attached neodymium magnet. The magnet catches the fine ferrous particles produced by normal wear before they can circulate through the Haldex unit, which 034Motorsport says helps prevent excessive wear to its internal parts. Two copper crush washers are included, and the brand puts installation at about 30 minutes.
