This carbon fibre intake and turbo inlet is built for the 2.0T EA888.4 engine in the Volkswagen Mk8 Golf R and Audi 8Y S3. Its open-airbox design draws cool outside air through the factory fresh air duct inlet to a 4 inch inlet conical filter, then through a CFD-optimised 4-ply silicone inlet hose to the throttle body. 034Motorsport says the intake adds measurable horsepower and torque and a more aggressive induction and turbo sound, and quotes 819.4 CFM against 474.7 CFM for the stock intake, both at 28in H2O. A carbon fibre heat shield keeps hot engine bay air from entering the intake.
