This Street Density upgrade replaces the soft rubber damping element inside the factory transmission mount on B8, B8.5, B9 and B9.5 Audi A4, S4, RS4, A5, S5, RS5, Q5 and SQ5 models, and also suits several C8, D5 and 4M models with the 8-speed automatic. 034Motorsport explains that the factory rubber allows too much transmission movement at higher power and breaks down over time, which shows up as hesitation or lurching when accelerating, decelerating and shifting. The 65 durometer replacement drops into the factory cast housing, so the original assembly can be reused rather than replaced, and it is designed to work with 034Motorsport's B8/B8.5 transmission mount insert for crisper shifts. Some extra noise and vibration should be expected in the cabin, especially on Tiptronic cars, and installation is fully reversible.
