These Street Density rear shock mounts are a complete drop-in replacement for the factory rear shock mounts on B8/B8.5 Audi A4, S4, RS4, A5, S5, RS5, Q5 and SQ5 models, and the listing also covers the Audi TT and TTS and the Porsche Macan. They use 70A durometer Density Line rubber, against 60A for the OE mount, bonded to a cast aluminium mount body, and 034Motorsport says this cuts deflection under hard cornering and reduces the chance of rubber separation and the clunking associated with the factory mounts. 034Motorsport describes the factory rubber as very soft, so it wears out and lets the shock move excessively, which hurts ride quality and handling precision.
