This replacement front upper strut mount bearing suits MQB and MQB EVO models, including the Mk7 and Mk8 Volkswagen Golf GTI and R, the 8V Audi A3, S3 and RS3, the 8Y A3 and S3, and the 8S TT, TTS and TT RS. Front strut bearings carry a lot of suspension load and can wear and become noisy over time, and lowering springs may already have worn out the factory part. 034Motorsport recommends replacing them while the strut is out for new Density Line Strut Mounts, lowering springs or coilovers, and says a fresh bearing improves ride quality when refreshing the front suspension. It replaces factory part 5Q0412249E and is sold individually, so each car needs two.
