034Motorsport Titanium Brake Pad Shim Kit - Audi B9/9.5 S4/S5/SQ5/RS5 - 034-3ZZ-0008

These titanium shims sit between the brake pads and the factory Akebono calipers on B9 and B9.5 Audi S4, S5, SQ5 and RS5 models and the other Akebono-equipped Audis in 034Motorsport's fitment list. Titanium's low thermal conductivity makes the shims an effective heat barrier, limiting the heat passed from the pads and rotors into the caliper so the brake fluid is less likely to overheat and fade under hard use. 034Motorsport says this improves safety and brake modulation, extends the life of parts such as caliper seals and helps reduce brake squeal. The shims are 0.5mm (0.02") thick, made from Grade 5 titanium (6AL-4V, ASTM B348) and suit both street and track use.
